Head to head competition between the best names in snowboarding. NST Duels winners would proceed to the final round in Revelstoke, BC.
Unlike any other round of Duels, this was entirely human powered with riders taking splitboards and snowshoes uphill before dropping in.

Two legends in freeride snowboarding battling for their spot in the finals at NST's Revelstoke stomping ground. Brin Alexander, the Whistler local, opted to tackle the uphill battle with snowshoes and his pro model board the D.O.P.E. Industries Brinsane. Bjorn Leines took a different approach, working closely with Cardiff Snowcraft, he had been using the GOAT Splitboard extensively and chose this as his multitool. After both putting down some incredible runs in the Callaghan's stellar West Coast terrain, Brin came away victorious. His strong and aggressive riding yielded big amplitude and creative line choice in the competition, putting down banger after banger.
PEOPLE
Snowboarding is, and always has been about the culture. Natural Selection has taken the structure of competitive snowboarding and crafted an event that has pulled many athletes and viewers back to the scoreboard. Such an impactful event has helped to further strengthen the bonds within the snowboard community. That energy was present throughout everyone in front and behind the scenes at NST.
